"SCOTT MALONE, MY LORD"

"We dominated the game, especially the second half. QPR were very lucky to be 2-0 up come the hour mark, but that's how football is sometimes. Everyone knew one goal would change everything. QPR started to get deeper and deeper to try and consolidate their lead but in the sixty-third minute, a Whittingham corner found the head of Sean Morrison – 2-1!

"We were back in the game and boy did we know it! The atmosphere in the away end was electric and the whole stadium could see an equaliser coming. So, twenty minutes remained and we still piled on the pressure, we just couldn’t get that equaliser...

"Then Noone won a 50/50 challenge and the ball fell to the feet of Joe Ralls. He looked up and swung a ball across the field to Malone. I remember thinking to myself: 'this has sat up nicely for him… I wonder if he'll shoot.'

"Then came that moment, as Malone unleashed an absolute pearler that flew into the top right hand corner in the ninetieth minute! 2-2!!! What a comeback! The away end was absolutely ecstatic!

"'Scott Malone, my lord, SCOTT MALONE' was ringing around Loftus Road.

"That was my favourite goal because it was in the last minute and away from home. You just can't beat that. A great goal which will live long in the memory. Not a bad way to get your first goal for the club, eh?"
