Winger links up with Neil Warnock ahead of Bristol City clash...

Cardiff City FC is delighted to confirm the signing of Junior Hoilett, subject to international clearance.

The Canadian international winger has signed a deal until the summer of 2017 and will link up for a second time with Neil Warnock having previously played for the City Boss at Queens Park Rangers.

Twenty-six year old Junior originally came through the academy at Blackburn Rovers. After gaining experience on loan at SC Paderborn and FC St. Pauli, he went on to score twelve Premier League goals from eighty-one league appearances for the Ewood Park club.

Following Blackburn's relegation to the Championship, Hoilett returned to the top flight with QPR. He would pull on the Hoops' shirt one hundred and twelve times in the league, netting on twelve occasions for the Loftus Road side.

Speaking exclusively to Cardiff City Player HD in an interview that you can watch in full as part of this Wednesday’s early edition of ‘In The City’, Junior said: “I’m really pleased to be here and I’m ready to go.

“The Manager puts belief in his players and this is a great group of lads. Everyone loves playing for the Gaffer.

“I’m here to hopefully bring some more creativity and goals. I can’t wait to get started.”

First Team Manager Neil Warnock added: “Junior did well for me at QPR and by the time I left there was one of the Club’s most important players.

“I’m delighted to have him here with us at Cardiff City and I know that he’ll respond to the the fans and me.

"What’s more, he’s a player who will help bring the best out of those around him.”
