WARNOCK | "IT WILL BE A CRACKING GAME!"

“I’ve never had a dull game against Brentford,” says the City boss…

Neil Warnock spoke to the press and media at the Vale Resort this morning, ahead of Cardiff City’s home clash with Brentford on Foundation Day 2017.

First up, the Gaffer gave an injury update, after Sol Bamba and Allan McGregor were both forced off the field in Tuesday evening’s draw away to Barnsley.

“It’s difficult to say with Sol,” began Neil. “He’s had a scan, and he won’t be available for the weekend. We don’t really know the state of it at the moment, although it doesn’t look very good.

“McGregor’s bruising has gone down a lot. If there’s any doubt about him, he won’t play because Murph [Brian Murphy] has done ever so well anyway when he’s played for us. We’ll assess McGregor later on.”

Neil also went into detail on what he expects the Bees to bring to Cardiff City Stadium, promising an entertaining match on Saturday afternoon.

“I like Dean [Smith] and I think he’s done a really good job there. They lost their top scorer, Hogan, and you’d have thought he was irreplaceable, but they’ve just carried on and play a very entertaining brand of football as well.

“I think it will be a cracking game. I’ve never had a dull game against Brentford, if I’m honest.”
