ADRAN PREMIER | SEASON SO FAR

The Bluebirds head into Sunday’s fixture currently sitting six points clear at the top of the Adran Premier table.

Last time out, Iain Darbyshire’s side claimed a 2-1 victory over Pontypridd United, with Siobhan Walsh and Eliza Collie on the scoresheet.

The victory continued City’s unbeaten start to the campaign, winning 11 and drawing one of the opening 12 matches.

Sunday’s opponents, Barry Town United, have had a positive few weeks, claiming back-to-back victories.

The Linnets recorded an impressive 4-1 victory over The New Saints, before a 1-0 win over Cardiff Met.

CITY FLASHBACK | SAUNDERS NETS DRAMATIC WINNER

City welcomed Barry Town United to Cardiff International Sports Campus last season in what turned out to be a key victory in the title win.

The match was played in awful conditions, while the visitors produced a fine defensive performance, making it difficult for the Bluebirds to find a breakthrough.

However, a crucial moment came with 89 minutes on the clock, as former City attacker Megan Saunders showed great composure in the box to fire a dramatic winner.

The three points played a huge part in continuing the Bluebirds momentum on the way to winning the Adran Premier title, as well as the Bute Energy Welsh Cup.

CITY MEMORIES | MOLLY KEHOE

In the reverse fixture between the two sides in October, the Bluebirds claimed a brilliant 6-1 win at Cardiff City Stadium.

With Danielle Green and Walsh netting in the first half, the lead was extended by Seren Watkins and Molly Kehoe, before Collie and Tija Richardson also got on the scoresheet.

Playmaker Kehoe made a huge impact in the second half, taking the game into City’s favour.

Recalling her goal in her first appearance at CCS, Molly said: “I came on at half time and it was only 2-1 at that point. We knew we needed to score more goals. It was my first time playing in the big stadium, but it was a great feeling going out onto the field.

“Greeny drove down the line and crossed it into the box and I just got my foot on it and it went into the bottom-right corner. I was happy to score the fourth goal and contribute to the 6-1 win.”
