City Women ended the Adran Premier campaign with a 1-1 draw against The New Saints.
The fixture marked head coach Iain Darbyshire's final game in charge of the Bluebirds following a trophy-laden spell.
Madison Lloyd got on the scoresheet for City, who end the league season second in the table.
The visitors went close to opening the scoring with seven minutes on the clock, as Lexie Harrison raced through but fired just wide of the post. City had the most of first half possession but couldn’t quite bring goalkeeper Orla Howard into action in the opening stages.
Chantelle Teare then had a big chance for the Saints, beating the offside trap before forcing Ceryn Chamberlain into a fine save. City reacted well and found the opening goal with 34 minutes on the clock. The ball dropped kindly in the box to striker Lloyd, who was on-hand to fire home.
The lead was almost doubled before the break, as Mackenzie Olden had two efforts saved by Howard.
Chances were at a premium in the second period, but substitute Lily Billingham almost sparked a second City goal. Her pass forward cut through the Saints defence and found Mikayla Cook. The winger’s delivery was almost turned home by Laura Curnock, but the effort deflected wide.
With 70 minutes played, the visitors equalised through Teare, who rounded Chamberlain and fired into the net. City went close to finding a late winner, as a fierce strike from Cook hit the post.
Following the end of the league season, the Bluebirds will compete in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup Final against Swansea City on Sunday, April 19th.
