TRAVEL TIPS
Travelling by car from Cardiff City Stadium to the home of the Pilgrims will take approximately three hours, via the M4, M49 and M5. The sat-nav postcode is PL2 3DQ.
The stadium is situated just off the A38 and can be easily located along Outland Road. From the east, take the A38 to Plymouth and exit at Manadon roundabout, signposted “Plymouth Argyle and Ferry Port” and A386. Take the second exit at the roundabout, following the direction of the flyover, to the left. Travel a mile on this road, and Home Park will appear on your left.
The Milehouse Park and Ride car park, adjacent to Home Park, is a large and free car park. As it is used by those travelling into the city centre and by users of the nearby Life Centre, the car park is usually very busy and fills up extremely quickly on matchdays, so very early arrival is essential to secure a space. As this car park becomes full very early on match-days, we recommend seeking alternative parking options in the city centre and in Plymouth’s other park and ride car parks.
There are several pay and display car parks in and around the city centre. The closest of these to Home Park are at City Business Park (PL3 4BB) and Stuart Road (PL1 5LH) but there are also several others in the city centre at Western Approach (PL1 1AJ), Theatre Royal (PL1 2TR) and Drake’s Circus (PL1 1EA).
Parking costs £10 at Devonport High School, which is available to book online here. The car park opens three hours prior to kick-off, and is a 5/10 minute walk away from the stadium.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Train services between Cardiff and Plymouth this weekend are disrupted due to planned engineering works. Supporters can travel as normal between Cardiff Central and Tiverton Parkway, but bus replacement services will be in operation between Tiverton Parkway and Plymouth for the whole weekend. Please check your travel plans and allow extra time if travelling by train.
Plymouth Citybus run dedicated football special services on matchdays, which cover multiple routes across the city. These services drop off right outside the ground and are parked directly outside Home Park at the end of the game, providing a reliable, convenient and stress-free method of reaching the stadium on a matchday. Please refer to the Citybus timetable above.
The five services run from the park and ride car parks at Coypool and The George, as well as from Plympton, Plymstock and Tavistock. Tickets can be purchased directly through Plymouth Citybus, via their app or on the bus on the day.
If driving into the city, why not consider parking at the park and ride car parks at Coypool (PL7 4TB) or The George (PL6 7HB), and take the football special bus services to reach the ground? Plymouth Citybus service 61 stops close to Home Park on Outland Road and is recommended for those parking in the city centre.
AWAY END
With a capacity of 18,173, Home Park is the ninth-largest ground in Sky Bet League One this season.
Away supporters are located on one side of the Kawasaki Barn Park End. Turnstiles typically open 1.5 hours prior to kick-off.
Our Supporter Liaison Officer, Paul Corkrey, will be in attendance at the stadium on matchday. If you require any assistance, please contact him on 07903 619654. Alternatively, follow @CardiffCitySLO on Twitter for further supporter updates.
PIES AND PINTS
Food and drink will be available in the concourse at Home Park on Saturday afternoon.
Interactive catering kiosks have been installed throughout Home Park stadium, offering a range of food and beverage options.
The Biffa Fan Zone, which is now open on home match days in the Mayflower Quarter (located just up from the Argyle Superstore and Ticket Office), is open to all supporters pre-match with a valid match ticket, whether you are a home or away fan.
The Biffa Fan Zone offers an array of food and drink stalls, supplementing the product range available at the kiosks inside Home Park. It’s also home to the Family Zone, hosted by the Argyle Community Trust, making it the perfect place for families to enjoy a range of games and activities and soak up the pre-match atmosphere.
