Travel Tips

By Car: The car journey from Cardiff City Stadium to the home of the Hornets will take approximately three hours, via the M4, M25 and A411. The sat-nav postcode is WD18 0ER.

There is no parking available for fans at the ground and street parking is restricted for local residents with matchday permits. Official car parking at Field Junior School (WD18 0AZ) is available for £10 per vehicle. Pre-booking here is advised.

Watford town centre has several car parks, the easiest of which for access to Vicarage Road is Church Car Park (WD18 0JD).

By Train: From Cardiff Central, the journey to Watford Junction will take approximately three hours. Supporters should travel to London Paddington. From there, take the London Underground (Circle or Hammersmith & City Line) to Euston Square Underground Station.

Euston Station is a short walk away from Euston Square. Board the West Midlands Service to Milton Keynes, and alight at Watford Junction train station, which is a 20-minute walk from the stadium.

The nearest station is Watford High Street, a 10-minute walk away from the ground. Watford also has its own London Underground tube station, which is on the Metropolitan Line and is situated just under one mile from Vicarage Road.

With a capacity of 22,200, Vicarage Road is the 17th-largest ground in the Sky Bet Championship this season.

Away fans will be seated in the Vicarage Road Stand, using turnstiles 14-15 and 16-19. This stand is shared with home supporters. All fans entering the Stadium will be searched.

Watford's bag policy is no bag larger than A4 size will be allowed into the Stadium and all bags will be searched.

Watford Football Club operates a Zero Policy regarding pitch incursions, the use of pyros and Anti-Social Behaviour in general. Any fan who is ejected will be handed to the Police and they will take the appropriate action. Last season twelve fans were all found guilty in the Courts, and they all received four year banning orders.

Food and hot/soft drinks will be available in the concourse at Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon, with the concourses catered by Esquires Coffee.

Please note there is no alcohol available in the Vicarage Road Stand. This applies to all of Watford's home games.

The officially designated away pub is The Oddfellows, 14 Fearnley Street, WD18 0RD.
