Joel Bagan spoke to the press to preview our League One clash with Rotherham United on Saturday afternoon.
The City left-back has started all three matches in all competitions so far this campaign, as the Bluebirds remain unbeaten.
“It’s been a good start for us and we’re all looking forward to the weekend,” Joel began.
“I’ve learned a lot already this season. Some of the detail that we’ve had in such a short space of time, it’s been great and I’m excited for how this season can pan out.
“With the smaller squad that we’ve got at the minute, it’s made it easier because we all know each other. We understand how each individual plays and their attributes, which can really help us."

The defender continued by discussing the impact that head coach Brian Barry-Murphy has had on the City squad since his arrival.
“I’ve really enjoyed it," Joel added. "Since he came in for pre-season, it brought a refreshing feeling around the place and it was very positive. We had a lot of wins in pre-season and were unbeaten; we’ve continued that going into the season now.
"I think that was one of the things that excited me the most about him coming in, the experience that he’s had working with young players at Manchester City and Leicester City. I think you can see from the team that we put out against Peterborough United, it was probably the youngest Cardiff City team we’ve had for a long time.
“I think I was the second oldest player in that game and you do forget how young some of the boys are. Joel Colwill, Dylan Lawlor, Ronan Kpakio, all of them have took to it really well and have looked comfortable in every game they’ve played."

Saturday's opponents have picked up three points from their opening two matches, having beaten Port Vale and lost to Stevenage.
Joel concluded: “I think it will be a physical game again, probably similar to Port Vale. They’ve been playing with a back five as well, and it was nice that we could play against a similar system against Swindon Town and put right some of the things we didn’t quite get right against Port Vale.
“That was probably the most physical I’ve had it. You get that against a few teams in the Championship, but it was tough against Port Vale and they made it difficult for us.
"It showed us that not every game is going to pan out as we want and teams aren’t going to let us play how we want to. But for us, as much as it was disappointing, to come away with a clean sheet and a point was positive."
