Cian Ashford spoke with Cardiff City TV after the 0-0 draw against Blackpool on Saturday afternoon.
“It was disappointing and frustrating that we couldn’t quite get the win today,” Cian began. “We’ve got a break now, but every game is as important as the next one so we’re just going to try and focus on getting that result in the next game.
"It’s that time of the season where as much as we’ve got everything to play for at the top, teams are coming here with as much to play for in their own circumstance, defending deep and defending for their lives. Their task is to make it as difficult as possible for us, and that’s our task as well. Unfortunately, when they’re sitting back and making it difficult, it’s harder to put away our chances. It’s frustrating, but we move on.”
The winger looked particularly lively throughout today's contest, frequently beating his man and delivering crosses into the Tangerines' area.
He continued: “I got a lot of the ball today. I really enjoyed it, and was trying to create something so we could score, but unfortunately today that didn’t happen. I’ll try to take that into the next game now after the international break.
With over a fortnight until our next Sky Bet League One fixture, Cian concluded: “Sometimes the schedule is so rapid that you can blink and not know what day it is! But hopefully now we can have a well-needed rest and then push on after the international break.”
