Mental Health Awareness Week

Bluebirds support Mental Health Awareness Week

Community
From 9-15th May, Cardiff City FC will once again be supporting Mental Health Awareness Week.

Mental health affects us all – and we’re collaborating with Mental Health Foundation to raise awareness and provide support for those who may need it.

We’re using the power of football raise awareness and address the stigma surrounding mental health amongst young people in Cardiff City communities.

In partnership with Mental Health Foundation, we’ve recently launched the ‘Head in the Game’ project.

This wellbeing project allows our mentors to support young people who are experiencing mental health issues with coping strategies, provide help to build healthy relationships and communication skills.

Learners from our post-16 education courses will also be involved with a mental health discussion alongside Cardiff City Academy duo Jack Leahy and James Crole at Cardiff City Stadium – discussing top tips on maintaining positive mental health with mental health advocate, Lloyd Ashley.
