Brian Barry-Murphy spoke to the media after City suffered a late loss to Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.
"It was a very disappointing goal from our point of view, when it comes so late and you can't do anything about it." Brian began. 'When something like that happens, it's obviously a very disappointing day for us all.
"I think Bolton are a team who are going to be at the top of the table for a reason. They're a very good team, very dangerous when they broke on us when we gave the ball away in certain areas.
"Large parts of our game were okay; we got towards the final third pretty easily, and they paid us a lot of respect in terms of how they pressed us, but our final product, in terms of creating and getting into shooting areas and opportunities, was very poor.
"And as such then, when you don't have enough attacking momentum or create enough chances, you're always in danger of conceding a goal like we did. Today that was the case.
"For as much possession as we had, we didn't create enough chances close to their goal, or enough shooting opportunities. To have such little impact on the keeper is disappointing from our point of view, and something that we're very conscious of.
"When you concede a goal in the circumstances that we did, it can feel very sickening. But my message to the players is that we can use that as motivation to try and make sure it doesn't happen again. There will be no blame culture in that dressing room - we take responsibility for what happened to us, and make it better. We won't be feeling sorry for ourselves after today. We have to be really clear on how we improve, to convert that possession into meaningful chances, shots and goals."
Brian also spoke about the changes to his side at the Toughsheet Community Stadium, including Alex Robertson's return to the squad.
"Chris Willock was injured in training yesterday, so that one was enforced. He's had a scan today. He had an issue before the international break with his quad. He played last week against Reading but couldn't complete training yesterday, so we'll have to watch this space on that one.
"It's really good to have Alex Robertson back involved. He had a really positive impact on our performance, and he'll be satisfied with his first game back.
"I think Joel Bagan had a hip injury, so he had to come off, and he'll be assessed."
