Chris Willock spoke to Cardiff City TV following Saturday’s victory over Bolton Wanderers.
The winger proved influential on Saturday afternoon, creating chances and scoring City’s second to secure the three points.
“We attacked with a lot of fluidity, especially in the first half,” he began. “We created heaps of chances, and I had self-belief. When the first one went in, I knew we would go on, and then we got the second one.”
“I really enjoyed myself today playing with Alex [Robertson] and Joel [Bagan]. I think we’re starting to understand each other’s game even more now, and some of the chances we created together were immense. I was happy to play with them today.”
Recalling the moment he doubled the lead for the Bluebirds, Chris added:
“It was a good finish. In the first half, I had a chance to cut in and try a one-two with Omari [Kellyman], but I overhit it. So, I thought when I get the next chance, I’ll cut in and try to keep it low. So I’m buzzing with that.”
The playmaker shared his ambitions for the remainder of the season, with City pushing on with a few weeks of the campaign still to be played.
“There’s a confidence throughout the squad,” He explained. “Recently, the results haven’t been going our way, but you can see the intentions we had. We create loads of chances, and it’s about sticking to the game plan and what the manager says. Today, that showed.”
He continued: “We must attack every game and try to win like we have all season. I think if we keep doing that, we’ll get the rewards.”
