Brian Barry-Murphy spoke to the press following Cardiff City’s 2-1 away victory at Bradford City.

The Bluebirds inflicted only a second home league defeat this season on the Bantams following an impressive away display.

“It was a really tough game, as we expected it would be,” Brian began. “Bradford City at home are a really tough team to play against. I’m really pleased with the performance. And for our fans to get the victory in such an exciting manner is incredible really.

“In the first half, we looked really slick and found our passing game and progressed into the areas of the pitch we wanted to. We scored a really spectacular goal through David Turnbull.

“For me, it was more how we arrived in that central area. We’ve scored a lot of goals from wide areas this season where we’ve had to cross it. To arrive in that situation was good for us. The finish from David was typical Turnbull.

“In the second half, naturally Bradford got as equally as exciting goal from their point of view and we had to weather the storm and defend the box for our lives late on. Which is really pleasing for us all. Putting bodies on the line is part of what playing for Cardiff City should be about so to see it is very important."
