Bulut post-QPR | The perfect start to 2024

Interviews
Erol Bulut spoke to the press after Cardiff City’s 2-1 victory away to Queens Park Rangers.

“It was the perfect start to 2024,” Erol began. “Today, maybe over the 90 minutes, we didn’t see the perfect game, but we saw a game full of fight; every Cardiff City player was fighting. The substitutions and the players who started showed a fighting spirit and a winning spirit, even after 1-1 when the opponent was pushing.

“We kept pushing, and then through the set piece, Perry Ng scores the second goal, and we kept it like that until the end of the game.

“We’ve made a good start to the year, and I hope we can continue like this, and that we finish it strongly too.”

Mark McGuinness, Dimi Goutas

The manager was full of praise for Ng after his goal, and also explained why Dimitrios Goutas was full of emotion after his goal.

“Perry is more than a right back, and for us he is very important, because we can use him in a few positions. Today he had another good game, and he capped it off with a goal.

“Dimitrios’ grandmother is not very well in Greece, so he will go to visit her. I hope everything is fine for him and his family."

Bulut ended by making a comment about the January transfer window, and that he and the Club will work hard to bring players in.

He concluded: “We’re working on it. It isn’t easy in January to sign players, but we will try our best for Cardiff City. Hopefully, in the coming days and weeks that we can get a few players in so that we can keep pushing.”
