Brian Barry-Murphy spoke to the press after his side recorded their first win of the Sky Bet Championship season on Saturday afternoon.
"We're very pleased that all of our supporters get a chance to enjoy their evening." Brian began. "It was a very important game for us. We felt as if we've been playing reasonably well, but you have to do it again. We knew today's game was going to be tough, but we played a great game, created really good chances and today we took enough of them to win.
"We obviously had a real awareness of what Charlton do and how effective they can be, but we got into the spaces that we needed to create good chances. I was particularly pleased with the response to conceding the goal, because that was obviously a test for us. We bounced back pretty much straight away, and kept creating good chances. In the second half, I felt we ran out deserved winners."
Brian commented on the Man of the Match performance from Jack Moylan, who provided two goals and an assist against the Addicks.
He said: "We spoke previously about our calmness and our composure in selecting the right moment to shoot. Ollie Tanner unselfishly gave him a great pass, and Jack finished - a brilliant goal, and our supporters loved it.
"In the first half, Jack gave Yousef a really good pass, and that was a great decision. Jack's chance looked clear but it wasn't, and he gave Yousef a much better option to finish. All those right decisions, that calmness and composure, are really pleasing signs for me.
"Jack's second goal came at a really good time for us because it gave us breathing space and allowed us to see out the game with a lot of control. It took a lot of hard work from the players, and I was really pleased with our performance."
Yousef Salech was on target too, with the boss discussing his late injury, and Dylan Lawlor's return to action.
"He's looked really dangerous, and today he got the reward that he deserved, so I'm really pleased with him.
"He seems okay - we were concerned he may have damaged his shoulder, but after the game he looks okay. He looks relatively comfortable in the changing room, so fingers crossed he'll be okay.
"The international break is good for us. It gives us a real opportunity to increase Dylan's physical condition, and Will Fish the same. Calum Chambers will be slightly longer, but the likes of Rubin Colwill and Isaak Davies, we're very hopeful that if we get our training right over the next few weeks, by the time we come around to the next game we can have them in a much better place."
