Following the final whistle on Saturday afternoon, Ollie Tanner spoke to Cardiff City TV.
Reflecting on the Bluebirds’ first league victory of the campaign, the winger shared his thoughts on an enthralling team performance that delighted the City faithful.
“We’ve been waiting for that for a while,” Ollie began. “It’s been coming with the performances. We felt it, I think everyone has felt it, so it’s nice to actually get the first three points on the board.
“It was just a whole team performance. I don’t think anyone played badly, everyone was top today, just as a team and all-round performance.
“We put that down to the manager for giving us the information, coaching us through the game.”
Discussing the performances that the Bluebirds had put in prior to the breakthrough win against the Addicks, Ollie’s confidence in the team is clear.
“We’re creating the chances,” he continued. “We were playing well but just weren’t putting them away, but today it goes in the back of the net because it’s inevitable.
“From the amount of chances we create and the amount of times we get into those areas, we’re going to score goals and blow teams away.
“I think you’ll see that more as the season goes on.”
