Joel Colwill spoke to the press after Cardiff City’s 3-0 win at home against Cheltenham Town.
The City midfielder, facing his former club, celebrated the occasion with a fine goal, his first for the Bluebirds' First Team.
“I'm really happy to score and I’m glad Rubin [Colwill] passed it to me as well. Our chemistry is brilliant. We’ve been playing football together since we were kids, so we understand each other games really well.
“It’s a proud moment that we’re both playing for Cardiff City, our dream club. He’s doing so well and I’m proud of him more than anything.”

Joel has thrived in the system under head coach Brian Barry-Murphy, producing impressing displays in midfield.
He continued: “I think it suits the team. We have a lot of good footballers in the squad and playing the football that we are brings out the best in each other and it’s been brilliant since the start.
“Playing with boys from the Academy feels natural. The only difference is that we’re playing in front of a big crowd now. We’ve been playing together since we were young.”

City's next fixture is on Saturday with another home clash, this time welcoming Plymouth Argyle as the Bluebirds are back in League One action.
Looking ahead to the coming weeks, Joel concluded: “Of course I want to score as many goals as I can. I think everyone wants to score goals and it’s a big part of football.
"If I can get a few this season, it will add a new part to my game which will hopefully make me play as much as possible.
“Rubin has got a few already this season, so hopefully I can catch him up and we both finish on as many as we can.”
