City donate 1,000 tickets to NHS workers

Cardiff City FC are proud to pledge a minimum of 1,000 tickets to front-line NHS staff fighting the coronavirus.

Brighton & Hove Albion kicked off the initiative this week, inviting other Premier League, EFL, Scottish and Northern Irish senior clubs to follow suit.

The Bluebirds have been quick to join the campaign, donating tickets either for one specific match or spread across a number of fixtures, when football resumes and NHS staff are able to attend games.

Executive Director & CEO, Ken Choo, said: “As we saw with Thursday evening’s ‘Clap for Carers’ tribute, we are all united in our support for the brave service of our NHS workers.

“We are pleased to be able to express this with a small token of our gratitude to those working selflessly at such a difficult time.

“On behalf of the Club, I thank the NHS and its staff for the sacrifices they continue to make for us. We sincerely look forward to inviting them to Cardiff City Stadium when the time is right.”

Full details on the allocation of tickets will be announced in due course.

In the meantime, please continue to follow government advice: stay home, protect the NHS and save lives.
