Cardiff City FC Women can confirm the retained list following the 2025/26 season.
Lisa Owen departs after a successful 12 years in the Welsh capital. She has been a crucial part of our side since 2014, winning a total of ten trophies.
Megan Bowen leaves to pursue an opportunity to further her education and experience in analysis. The defender has shown her talents since joining in 2022, making 106 appearances and scoring 13 goals. Her final touch of a football for City, fittingly, was a match-winning penalty in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup Final.
Following a stellar campaign for Mikayla Cook, the dynamic winger/wing-back will move on this summer. Having come through City's youth system, Mikayla netted 23 times in 85 matches for our Senior Team.
Laura Curnock, Amy Long and Helen Evans will also leave the Club following the expiration of their contracts. Laura and Amy were part of the double-winning side of 2024/25, while the trio played their parts in claiming this season's Bute Energy Welsh Cup.
We’d like to thank all departing players for their efforts and wish them the very best for the future.
