City Women | Kate Oakley is a Bluebird

Kate Oakley
We are delighted to welcome Kate Oakley to Cardiff City Women, who becomes Noah Bushby’s fourth addition of the summer.

A direct and exciting winger, Kate previously represented Liverpool at youth level, before going on to represent Lewes in the 2023/24 season.

Most recently, she has featured for Derby County in the FA Women’s National League North, having a spell with the Rams from 2024 to 2026.

Kate’s arrival in the Welsh capital follows the signings of Ella Hilliard, Gillian Keenan and TJ Gauvain.

Speaking to Cardiff City TV after signing, Kate said: “I’m very pleased. It’s a great club and I’m excited to get going. I would say I’m direct, I’m a winger, I like to get on the ball and bring people into the game. Hopefully, a few goals and assists as well.

“I’m very grateful for the opportunity and excited to see what I can do and play in front of the fans.”

Following his fourth acquisition of the summer, Noah added: “Kate is a really exciting addition to our squad. Whilst she already has huge talent, she is exactly the type of player we want at Cardiff City, someone who has potential to improve and the ambition to develop their game even further.

“She has the pace, creativity and mentality to excite our supporters and we’re delighted to welcome her into our group. I’m very pleased with our recruitment so far this summer and feel our squad is in a good place ahead of our first game of pre-season this Sunday.”
