Saturday's matchday saw the South Wales community come together to appreciate the incredible work completed by Cardiff City FC Community Foundation.
From the moment the gates opened, their team were busy in and around the stadium, chatting about projects delivered across South Wales, collecting your generous donations, and highlighting their hat-trick of goals:
- Improving health and wellbeing
- Supporting learning and skills
- Building stronger communities

To kick off the pre-match festivities, Foundation staff and learners from their further and higher education programmes got fellow Bluebirds involved in a ‘Keepy Uppy’ challenge and a ‘guess the minute of the first goal’ game to raise funds for their work.

Over in the Family Stand, their team hosted fun activities for everyone to enjoy, while supporters were treated to a brilliant choir performance from pupils at Pencaerau Primary School, one of their partner primary schools. After impressing us last year, they were invited back as a token of appreciation for their continued hard work.
This year, we were delighted to be supported by their charity partners - businesses who share their belief that football can change lives. Our volunteers from Willis Construction, The BUSY Group, BusinessIn and Howden all got stuck in (rain and all) to help spread our message and collect donations around the stadium.

Some of their youngest beneficiaries also had the unforgettable experience of walking out as mascots alongside their favourite players. They were selected for their leadership and inclusion during our Soccer Schools and education programmes.
Students from St Cyres High School, part of their partner school network, proudly represented the Bluebirds Charity as centre-circle flag bearers, a recognition of their hard work throughout the season.
On the pitch, the players (and Bartley) warmed up in Foundation-branded tops and carried their logo on their shirts during the match. Fans can now bid for these match-worn shirts, with all proceeds directly supporting our life-changing work. There’s still time to bid: click here!

To celebrate their supporters, old and new, they’re also running an exclusive Instagram competition. One lucky Bluebird will win a signed, match-worn training top. Head over to @ccfc_foundation to find out how to enter!
At the heart of this Club are the fans and communities across South Wales who support us week in, week out.

Through the Foundation’s education programmes, health initiatives, and outreach projects, we’re helping people reach their full potential.
Together, we can make a difference that lasts a lifetime.
