Alex Robertson spoke to the media following City's emphatic 4-0 win over Doncaster Rovers on Saturday afternoon.
"Like I said in the press conference earlier in the week, it was about training leading up to it." Alex began. "We had a really good week in training, and we had a really good performance today, which is nice.
"To get the three points is the main thing. I thought it was a great performance all round. It wasn't an easy game, but we played really well and it was really nice to see.
"We've got to stay humble and keep trying to win game by game - that's all we can do."
The midfielder opened the scoring in the 26th minute, latching onto a superb clipped ball from Dylan Lawlor before slotting home calmly.
Discussing the opener, Alex said: "I said to Dylan [Lawlor] about ten minutes earlier, look for that pass in behind, because the centre back was following Rubin [Colwill] when Rubin would drop in. So I said to him, play it in behind, and about ten minutes later, he played it.
"I just chested it and hit it over the keeper, I think it was. It was identical to the one against Exeter, and Dylan played that one too, so it shows what a good passer of the ball he is, and it's nice to run onto them balls."
And on Lawlor's incredible solo effort, Robertson added: "He should have played me in - I was stood right there! I was happy he took the shot; he's a great player and he deserves a goal. He had a great game today... but I was there for the square!"
