Brian Barry-Murphy spoke to the press following a hard-fought 4-3 victory over Doncaster Rovers on Saturday afternoon.
Omari Kellyman, Cian Ashford and Yousef Salech found themselves on the scoresheet before Joel Bagan scored in the final minute to secure victory for the Bluebirds.
“I like the character and mentality of the team to attack until the last minute,” Brian began.
"I felt as if we could create chances; there was no concern on my behalf about how we looked attacking-wise. We created chances throughout the course of the game.
"We have clear goal scorers throughout the squad. I had the feeling throughout the course of the game we would need goals to contain Doncaster, and that was the case.”
The occasion marked Salech’s fourth league goal in his last three home games, while Ashford has either scored or assisted in his last three outings at CCS.
Brian continued: “We looked dangerous, and we can score goals. By how the team plays, you can see we’re not relying on any individuals.
"Yousef receives a lot of headlines, and Callum Robinson as well. But Joel scored, and Cian has really stepped up.
"I thought Cian carried us at times today when we were in real need of quality. When the game wasn’t perfect, he was the one who had real quality.
"We’re very pleased with him and all those players who can have to contribute because we can’t rely on one or two players too much.”
Following this afternoon’s victory, City have won their last five league games in a row. The Bluebirds head coach was quick to praise match-winner Bagan.
“He’s a very important player for us," Brian said. "When we play at our best, he creates a lot of our attacking movements.
"He has a creative left foot and helps create a lot. The focus has been on increasing his involvement in goals, and if he scores like he did today, it’s a bonus."
