Erol Bulut speaks to the press

Erol pre-Norwich City | We will continue to fight

Interviews
Erol Bulut spoke to the press ahead of the Bluebirds’ Sky Bet Championship clash at Norwich City on Saturday afternoon.

City head into Saturday's fixture currently sitting 14th in the table, while the Canaries are in seventh.

Erol continued: “I’m confident, because I believe in the team that we have right now. Until now, we got these points, even though we had injuries. The team was fighting really hard and in many games, we lost in the last minute, but that’s football. We have 15 games to play and I want my players to be fully concentrated and to think only about these 15 games.

“This is not my character to say to my players that we are safe and now, everything is done. This is not me. I would lie to myself. I want also for my players not to be like this, to give everything until the end, for the fans, because they are supporting us everywhere.

"We have to give them something back. Even if we lose points, at least we have to fight until the end to try and make everything possible to get points back."

Saturday's opponents, managed by David Wagner, have recorded 13 points from their last six games, leaving them fifth in the form table.

“They made the start [of their run] with us here with a win, 3-2 against us," Erol added. "Since then, they have had a good run. Also, they are a qualitative good team. Offensively, they do a lot. We will go there to try and make the best to get points. From every game, we are expecting points and for that, all the players of Cardiff City who are playing, they have to give everything to get these points.

“Here, they went 1-0 in front and we came back to make it 2-1. Then, we had an own goal and they got a third one, so this game, we could have won at home. It was a little bit unlucky, but now, we have to make something good on Saturday.”

The City boss concluded with a fitness update on the squad: "Yakou Méïté has a calf injury and will not be with us, Jak Alnwick also."
