Rubin Colwill spoke to Cardiff City TV following Saturday’s victory over the Grecians.
Bagging a brace on Saturday and scoring his third of the week for the Bluebirds, Rubin reflected on the performance as City bounced back in Devon.
“The scoreline was a good one for us, but also the performance,” Rubin began. “Sometimes you play well and don’t get the result, but today we got both, which is great to see.
“I was happy, I think the first goal it was a really good finish and the second one I’ve been working on getting in the box, in those areas.
"The manager and staff showed me some clips before the game, the runs I make and how to make them a little bit better, and I thought I did exactly as they said and got a goal from it.”
Discussing his return from injury, Rubin now has an eye on the remainder of the campaign, as City look to return to their prior run of form with nine matches still left to play.
“My main focus is on the team and winning," Rubin continued. "I’m happy today because we won.
“I feel like I’m back in my rhythm. The physio and fitness lads really helped me a lot, my rehab was really smooth, there were a lot of long days working really hard and I’m feeling really good for it now, thankfully.
“With regards to this run-in I’m feeling fresh, but I was doing a lot of work in the gym to get here!
"I’m feeling really good at the minute. I’m feeling strong and looking forward to kicking on.”
