Isaak Davies spoke to Cardiff City TV after getting on the scoresheet for his third league goal of the season in City’s 3-2 win against Huddersfield Town.
“I thought the boys were brilliant today." Isaak began. “Especially in the first half, we started the game really strongly. We put pressure on them early and I think we carried that into the second half.
“We set out to make them chase the ball and hurt them when we had the chance, which we were able to do. They had some joy after the break, but we dealt with it quite well. I’m really glad we got the win.”
Today’s win saw the Bluebirds extend their lead at the top of the Sky Bet League One table ahead of Tuesday’s clash with Stevenage.
“Staying top of the league is the goal, it’s what every team wants, but for us, we just need to focus on ourselves and take each game as it comes. There are so many games around this time of year, so we just need to keep building this momentum and carry on.
“Every player wants to play every minute of every game, but obviously you can’t, so it’s important that we use every player we have available in the squad. The boys have really bought into it and are playing their part.”
And speaking on his goal after coming off the bench, Isaak added: “We do things like that in training all the time so it’s about repetition. I was really glad it came off today.”
