City’s centre forward Yousef Salech spoke to Cardiff City TV after scoring a late equaliser at Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night.
The Bluebirds piled on the pressure looking for a leveller against their play-off chasing opponents, with Salech, on his third cameo post-injury, popping up in the right place at the right time.
"I guess that's the feeling I've been fighting for these last three months," Yousef began. "I think a big part of us getting a point was how well we defended. They had a lot of big chances.
"Full credit to Nathan [Trott] for some great saves and our defenders for their blocks. They kept us in the game really."
Yousef went through a significant rehabilitation period following his injury in January, battling to be a part of City's important run-in.
He continued: "It hasn't been easy. With a first major injury like that you have no experience of it or how it's going to go. Or of the pain and fear. I appreciate everything the Club has helped me with. I'm really happy to be back playing.
"I've played the last three games now. Whether I'm called upon for 10, 20 or 60 minutes, I try and do my best for the team. It's the manager's call whether I start and I respect him fully.
"I'm excited for the last four games now. It's been a great season overall for the Club."
Yousef finished his press duties with a word of appreciation on the travelling Bluebirds fans, who were in the perfect place to see his late goal.
He concluded: "I want to thank them for coming this long way on a Tuesday night, which they've been doing the whole season.
"It made it even nicer for me to score in-front of them when there were so many.
"I hope they enjoyed that one as well."
