O'Dowda continues Republic of Ireland run

Callum O'Dowda has been named in the Republic of Ireland squad for their upcoming EURO 2024 Qualifying matches against Greece and Gibraltar.

In his last international outing, the 28-year-old netted his first international goal as the Green Army defeated Latvia in a friendly match at the Aviva Stadium.

Stephen Kenny's men suffered defeat in their opening Qualifier against France back in March, and will be looking to make amends by taking points from both of their June matches.

Adams makes Gambia return

Following a season blighted by injury, Ebou Adams has been selected to make his international return as Gambia face South Sudan.

The midfielder has made 11 appearances for The Scorpions since making his international debut in September 2018, and will hoping to add cap number 12 in the Africa Cup of Nations qualification match.

Gambia travel to Egypt to face South Sudan, with the standings in Group G extremely tight. Adams' side have two wins and two defeats from their four matches to date, in a group which also contains Mali and Congo.

Sawyers in vital Gold Cup clash

Romaine Sawyers will be hoping to enjoy an international tournament this summer, with St. Kitts & Nevis two games away from securing their place at the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

The Sugar Boyz take on Curaçao in their first Preliminary match and, if successful, will face either French Guiana or Sint Maarten in a straight shootout for qualification into the tournament proper.

Hosted in the USA and Canada, the Gold Cup takes place between June 24th to July 16th, with the United States, Mexico and Canada amongst the pre-tournament favourites.

Colwill and King in Wales U21 camp

Rubin Colwill and Eli King have been named in the Wales U21 squad to play Denmark in a U21 EURO 2025 Qualifier.

The duo helped Matt Jones' side to a friendly win over Scotland in the previous international window back in March.

Wales U21 face Denmark, Czech Republic, Iceland and Lithuania in Qualification Group I, with the Finals taking place in Slovakia in the summer of 2025.

Eight young Bluebirds called up for Wales U19 Friendlies

Joining Wales' U19 camp this week are eight Academy members, as the young Dragons prepare for two friendly fixtures against Sweden.

Rob Edwards' side features plenty of City representation, with Jake Dennis, Will Spiers, Dan Barton, Cole Fleming, Tanatswa Nyakuhwa, Japhet Matondo, Isaac Jefferies and Trey George all joining the camp for a series of preliminary matches before they begin their UEFA European U19 qualifying campaign.

The fixtures will take place on Thursday 15 June (KO 18:00) and Sunday 18 June (KO 15:00) at Cardiff International Sports Stadium in Leckwith, with free and ticketless entry to both matches.

The double header will also be shown live on the FAW's streaming platform, RedWall+.
