WEMBLEY EXPERIENCE FOR RONAN

Having made an impression for City this campaign, five Bluebirds were selected for Wales' fixtures this month.

Dylan Lawlor, Ronan Kpakio, Joel Colwill, Rubin Colwill and Isaak Davies were all included.

Right-back Kpakio came on as a second half substitute in a defeat to England at Wembley Stadium.

The side went on to be beaten by Belgium in their second fixture of the window.

Alex Robertson
ROBERTSON’S RETURN

Alex Robertson returned to his international squad this month, as he was called up for Australia's international friendlies against Canada and the United States of America. 

The City midfielder was not included in the matchday squad as the side recorded a 1-0 win over Canada and a 2-1 defeat to USA.

Tanatswa Nyakuhwa in action for Wales' U21s
U21 INVOLVEMENT

Wales’ U21s continued their U21 European Championship qualifying campaign this month.

Goalkeeper Luke Armstrong (on loan at Penybont), defender Luey Giles, midfielders Dakarai Mafico and Troy Perrett, as well as wingers Cian Ashford and Tanatswa Nyakuhwa were called up.

After defeat against Belgium, the side recorded an important 2-0 win over Austria. Tanatswa Nyakuhwa started the contest, with Troy Perrett and Dakarai Mafico unused substitutes.

Mannie Barton in action for Wales' U19s
CITY PROSPECTS GAIN EXPERIENCE

This month’s international fixtures brought further experience for our young Bluebirds.

At U19 level, Jac Thomas and Mannie Barton both featured as the side played international friendlies against Switzerland, Netherlands and England. Barton was on the scoresheet in a defeat against Switzerland, before opening the scoring in an impressive 2-0 win over the Netherlands.

Wales' U18s squad included Hayden Allmark, Jack Sykes, Noah Williams and Tiger Tobin. As in previous camps, Williams had the honour of captaining the side.

There was also Bluebirds leadership on show at U17 level, with Rob Tankiewicz captaining the side in a 1-1 draw against Italy. Their second fixture of the window is being played on Thursday, October 16th. Alex Cross, Axel Donczew, Jacob Norris and Keano Conaty were also called up.
