CIAN AND JOEL RECEIVE CYMRU CALL-UPS
Cian Ashford has been named in the Wales senior squad for the first time, joining Joel Colwill for Wales' opening UEFA Nations League A fixtures.
Having missed out on a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Craig Bellamy's side now turn their attention to a set of Nations League matches against Portugal, Denmark and Norway. Wales reached League A by winning Group B4 in the 2024/25 edition of the competition.

JOEL AND JACK IN IRELAND ACTION
Joel Bagan will be hoping to make his senior debut for the Republic of Ireland over the next fortnight, having been named in their squad for UEFA Nations League B action.
The left back was called up for the Republic's summer fixtures, but missed out due to injury. He'll join Jack Moylan in the squad, who made his debut for the Boys in Green during that May/June window, scoring a hat-trick against Grenada.
Managed by former Iceland boss Heimir Hallgrímsson, Bagan and Moylan will do battle with Kosovo, Israel and Austria during this international window. Both games against Israel are scheduled for neutral venues, with Israel's 'home' game taking place Debrecen, Hungary and the reverse fixture in Bačka Topola, Serbia.

SIX NAMED IN WALES U21 SQUAD
Luke Armstrong, Dakarai Mafico, Noah Anyadike, Robert Tankiewicz, Ronan Kpakio and Tanatswa Nyakuhwa have been named in the Wales U21 squad by boss Matty Jones.
The Young Dragons face Belgium and Austria in Cymru's final fixtures of their UEFA U21 EURO 2027 Qualifying group.
Jones' side have six points from six matches so far, with two wins and four defeats in Group I. They face the top two teams in the group, who both currently have 10 points to their name.

BLUEBIRDS IN AGE-GRADE INVOLVEMENT
There is plenty of Cardiff City representation in the younger Wales squads, with four players called up to the U19 squad by Jon Grey.
Paul Moreno, Noah Williams, Jack Sykes and Hayden Allmark will travel to Marbella as the U19s face USA, Norway and Northern Ireland in an international friendly tournament.
Meanwhile, the U18s squad includes six Bluebirds, as Alex Cross, Charlie Bell, Keano Conaty, Logan Cartwright, Jacob Norris and Leo Papirnyk have been selected. The side will face Finland in two friendly matches.
