City left-back Joel Bagan has today penned a new four-year contract with the Bluebirds.
Our number three has committed his future to the Club until the summer of 2030.
Joel has been a key player for the Bluebirds since Brian Barry-Murphy came to the Club, making 52 appearances across the promotion winning League One season. His quality and consistency were rewarded with an inclusion in the EFL League One Team of the Year.
Bagan initially joined City’s academy in 2018 as an apprentice after completing his schoolboy years with Southampton. He would make his First Team debut two years later in the Emirates FA Cup clash against Reading. Overall, Joel has appeared 130 times in City blue, scoring on four occasions.
Speaking about this new agreement, Joel said: “I’m delighted to be extending my stay at this Club.
“I’ve been here since I was 16 and it feels like home. Last season was so special and I’m excited for what the future will bring now.
“I think it is a great time to be a Cardiff City player!”
