We are pleased to announce that U21 goalkeeper Luke Armstrong has signed a contract extension with Cardiff City.
Luke has agreed a deal that will see the shot-stopper stay in the Welsh capital until the summer of 2028.
Armstrong joined the Bluebirds from Wolverhampton Wanderers at the age of 16 and has since gained vast experience with our U18s and U21s, showcasing his quality.
Having signed his first professional contract in July of last year, Luke has spent this season on loan at Penybont in the Cymru Premier, making 13 domestic appearances, as well as featuring twice in the Europa Conference League first qualifying round.
Commenting on his contract extension, Luke said: “It’s massive for me. This Club has given me so many opportunities and has backed me since I first joined when I was 16. There’s a great pathway and it’s such a good time to be a young player at the Club. I’m looking forward to the future ahead.
“My loan has been really good. I’ve learned so much already and I feel like it’s been a huge benefit to me. When I get back in the building at City, I’ll look to show what I’ve learned.
“For the rest of the season, I want to get as much experience as I can in a senior environment and build on that in the future.”
