Chris Willock chatted with the press following our 1-0 victory over Luton Town on Saturday, August 23rd.
It was an open and enjoyable game, between two quality teams. The defences and goalkeepers were winning out though.
Until Willock went alone. City's No.16 sat down his marker, and fired across the goalkeeper into the net for the only goal of the encounter.
Speaking after the game, Chris said: "We played really well and we deserved to win. We're all happy.
"The Gaffer has given me that freedom to express myself. He wants me on the ball. I think it's paying off. I'm really enjoying my time under him so far. He gives us a lot of confidence and a style of play that suits us. We have to keep buying into what he's doing on the training field.
"I think there is a lot of cohesion in the team and it is showing during the difficult moments of matches that we're sticking together. We've got a very young squad. The young boys have been terrific so far for their first proper season in men's football.
"You can see out there today. It's been amazing. Credit to the Gaffer, he's putting them in week-in, week-out. I'm sure they can keep improving too."

Before the other League One fixtures have concluded today, the Bluebirds sit top of the table. Chris, though, assures us that nobody in the dressing room is getting carried away.
"It's still early days, he continued. "We have a lot to improve on. We have to keep working and keep winning. We will keep our feet on the ground.
"We're not really looking at the table for now. It's about being ready and improving each week.
"We will be trying to reach our goals."

City boss Brian Barry-Murphy made three changes to the side today, with Willock one of the men coming into the side. The entire squad is being utilised and have to be ready when called upon, and Chris insists there is plenty more still to come. He added: "Every player in the dressing room wants to play at the moment. We have a good team spirit and a winning feeling.
"Hopefully we can do the same on Tuesday. Every game is important, whether it is the league or the cup.
"It's all about winning games and playing well. That confidence then breeds throughout the whole team. We have to take that into the game and every game moving forward.
"The Gaffer has said it to us before - even if you don't play in one game, you'll get a chance to prove yourself. He's shown he's not afraid to make changes over what he's seen on the training field. The levels in training have gone up because of this. Everyone has a chance to play. We're all involved.
"It's about performing and showing what you can do. We're well drilled in every position. There's a lot of quality and a lot of players who haven't even had a chance yet. I'm sure they will."

Saturday's match winner finished his press duties with a word on the Bluebirds fans, saying: "They follow us everywhere they go.
"At home as well, the support has been magnificent. I'm enjoying playing under them.
"I hope we can give them something back this season, because they deserve it."
