City Women are in Adran Premier action this weekend as they take on Briton Ferry Llansawel.
The fixture will take place at the Renewable Centre Stadium on October 25th, with a kick-off time of 2pm.
PRE-MATCH | NOAH BUSHBY
"I'm expecting a very tough game on Sunday. They are in good form, have settled into the season well and have brought in some players that are strong. They will be tricky to deal with and they always make it difficult for the away team to go there. It's a challenging place to go so we've got to ensure that we're on it and we continue to play our football.
"The reverse fixture against them was challenging. We were missing a few players and we now have more options within our squad. Briton Ferry will make things difficult, as they did in Leckwith. They set up to frustrate but they also press with organisation. They will be physical and right up for the game, especially after their win over Swansea last weekend.
"We have different styles within our squad to suit different games. We know that they are a physical side who also have a lot of quality, so it'll be a great game. The aim is to match them physically whilst showing how talented our squad is, like we did last weekend.
"It's a really competitive league. You can see from the results that the standard across the board is high. We have improved since the start of the season but we have to ensure that we stay disciplined and focused on the task ahead."
PRE-MATCH | MADDISON PERROTT
"It’s great to see the progress we have made game by game. It’s a fresh squad with a lot of new players and I think we are really starting to gel. Sunday's performance was the benchmark and we will only build from here.
"Playing as a right-back is a new position for me this season but I think it’s definitely my best position. I’m enjoying learning and progressing my game week by week. As I was previously a winger, going forward and joining in on attacks is really second nature.
"Briton Ferry Llansawel are always a strong side and give us a tough game every time we play them. However, we take each game as it comes and trust in our gameplan to secure us a positive result this Sunday. As I said previously, our win against The New Saints set the standard for our level of performance and we only plan on improving from here."
