IN DAYS GONE BY
19/01/2013 | Blackpool 1-2 Cardiff City
One of our most memorable fixtures at Bloomfield Road was in the title-winning season of 2012/2013.
The clash included a truly action-packed ten minutes in the second half, which really did see the game spring into life.
Midfielder Aron Gunnarsson's sweetly struck volley was initially kept out but Kim Bo-kyung was typically on-hand to convert from close-range.
City found themselves 1-0 ahead for just six minutes until Gary Taylor-Fletcher headed in a swift equaliser for the Tangerines.
There was a test of the Bluebirds' resolve and they answered the challenge with great aplomb.
Ten minutes after taking the lead for the first time, City went back ahead with a second goal, as Andrew Taylor found space on the left though his cross was headed out towards the edge of the area.
That was where Tommy Smith timed a volley excellently, flying past the goalkeeper to record a crucial three points on our way to the title.
