Speaking ahead of the game with the Bluebirds, AFC Wimbledon boss, Johnnie Jackson, gave a squad update.

“Antwoine Hackford’s injured, he’s done his hamstring in training. He's going to miss out for a couple of weeks. Delano McCoy-Splatt will also be out longer term. So we’ll be without those two.

“We can probably go and push some of the boys a little harder because we don't play this weekend. Obviously, Saturday was a really tough game physically, so we'll have to be mindful of that. But, you know, with injuries, we haven't got too much flexibility, so we will make some changes.

“There's obviously lads who will need a game. And there's boys who came on, done well and deserve the opportunity to get a start.”

The Dons currently sit ninth in League One after 17 fixtures. They reached the Vertu Trophy Round of 32 after beating Bromley and Crystal Palace's U21 side during the group stages.

EARLIER THIS SEASON

The Bluebirds are set to meet AFC Wimbledon for a second time this campaign. During August, City secured their first away win of the new season with a 90th minute strike against their determined hosts.

David Turnbull's effort was diverted into the net by Isaak Davies to secure the three points for Brian Barry-Murphy's side on the evening.

Wimbledon and City have faced off eight times going into Tuesday night's fixture, with two of those coming since the phoenix club was formed in 2002.
