Town are still looking for their first points of the campaign in league action after five fixtures. They prop up League Two.

They defeated League One Exeter City, 2-0, in the first round of the Carabao Cup earlier this month though with Jordan Thomas and Jake Bickerstaff hitting the net.

Former Bluebirds Joe Day and Ibrahim Bakare could be involved for the Robins on Tuesday evening. Day does double duties for the Club, wearing the number one shirt while also completing the goalkeeper coach role.

Bakare was involved for the first time this season on Saturday, against Barnet, starting and playing 80 minutes.

Robert Earnshaw celebrates...
IN DAYS GONE BY

18/01/03 | Cardiff City 2-1 Cheltenham Town

City have played Cheltenham Town in a number of pre-season games in the past decade, but the Bluebirds and the Robins have only ever faced off seven times in competitive action. The most recent fixture was in January 2003, in Division Two.

11,605 fans were in attendance at Ninian Park as three goals were shared. Peter Thorne gave the Bluebirds an early advantage before John Finnigan levelled the encounter 19 minutes in. Rob Earnshaw gave City the lead again, with what would turn out to be the winner after 36 minutes.

That campaign turned out to be a successful one for City, with Andy Campbell, who started in attack with Earnshaw and Thorne against Cheltenham Town on that day, making himself a Club hero at the Millennium. Keep an eye out as we also honour that campaign with Tuesday evening's programme cover.
