Luton Town were relegated from the Championship alongside the Bluebirds last term, and sit just outside the play-off spots as things stand.

Town have 18 points fewer than City before Saturday's game, with the top six a four point gap away from them at this stage.

Jack Wilshere's side will be looking for an improved showing on the road this weekend. Their last league win away from Kenilworth Road was on November 8th; a three-nil demolition of Stockport County. Since then, Town have drawn once, and lost on five occasions on their league travels. The form table though, as we well know from the past, can be turned upside down when two good teams do battle.

Town's last game saw them record an impressive 2-1 win over Bradford City at home.

KNOW YOUR OPPONENT | THE HATTERS

Luton Town signed two players on permanent deals during the January transfer window. Forward Devante Cole signed from Port Vale, while midfielder Sverre Sandal joined from Norwegian side KFUM Oslo.

They also welcomed three players in on loan for the rest of the campaign. Winger Emilio Lawrence joined from Manchester City, Kasey Palmer linked up from Hull City and midfielder Davy van den Berg signed from Utrecht. The Hatters also did some work after the window closed, making Gideon Kodua's loan move from West Ham United a permanent move.

Town have used 36 players across the league campaign with midfielder Jordan Clark and forward Kodua the standout players thus far. Clark has eight league goals, while Kodua has struck nine times in the league.

EARLIER THIS SEASON

23/08/25 | Luton Town 0-1 Cardiff City

It was a tense encounter when the Bluebirds faced off against the Hatters earlier this season.

The tight match was decided by a single goal - and what a goal it was by Chris Willock. The winger showed fantastic footwork to beat Mark McGuinness before firing into the net with his left foot.

Willock is the cover star and feature interview of this weekend's edition of The Bluebird - Official Matchday Programme.
