IN DAYS GONE BY
04/04/1988 | Cardiff City 4-0 Newport County
In our look back this time around, we've gone back to the last time City and County shared a league.
City were second in the league going into this fixture, while County were propping up the Division Four table.
The Bluebirds took control from the very first whistle, with goals from Mike Ford, Paul Wimbleton, Brian McDermott and Nigel Stevenson sealing a comfortable win.
City would remain in a promotion place while County couldn't find a way out of the relegation zone, suffering back-to-back relegations.
