PROMOTION CELEBRATIONS
Our Championship-bound Bluebirds will celebrate their incredible season following the end of the match with Northampton Town.
After the final whistle, the City players will return to the dressing room while the EFL set up the presentation stage on the pitch.
Brian Barry-Murphy and his squad will then be reintroduced once everything is ready and presented with their medals and the trophy.
We kindly ask those watching to refrain from celebrating on the pitch at any time. Any encroachment on the playing surface could alter or postpone the planned celebrations.
The Bluebirds and their loved ones will do a lap of honour following the medal ceremony to say thank you to our amazing fans for their phenomenal support during the 2025/26 season.
We look forward to another special day at the home of Welsh football!

Interim manager Colin Calderwood is in his second spell in charge of the club, following a previous three-year stint, 2003-06. He was Director of Football from January 2025 onwards and retook the managerial position following Kevin Nolan's departure in early March of this year.

EARLIER THIS SEASON
When the two sides met back in November it was a very different picture. Town were in 15th place at the time and not too far away from the play-off spots. On home turf, the Cobblers went at City; giving BBM's Bluebirds a truly tough test.
It was the Bluebirds who opened the scoring through Joel Colwill early on. Tom Eaves hit the post in the opening half for the hosts while they did manage to get a leveller, when Ethan Wheatley struck after the break. Three minutes later, Wheatley was at it again. But this time, it was at the other end. He inadvertently diverted in Joel Bagan's corner to give City back their lead.
Town tried their best to find another way back into the game but it was the Bluebirds who scored again in added on time. Ronan Kpakio got his second assist of the game, following a pass to Joel Colwill earlier on, completely a mazy run before finding Chris Willock, who finished the game off in spectacular fashion.
