John Eustace led Derby County to an eighth place finish in the Sky Bet Championship last term.
In both of their competitive games so far this term County have suffered 2-1 defeats. They were knocked out of the Carabao Cup on week 1, being beaten by Lincoln City. They followed this up with a loss to Charlton Athletic last weekend.
The Rams have welcomed six new faces into the squad for the season. Bobby Clark made his loan move permanent, joining from Red Bull Salzberg. Charlie Taylor, Filip Bilbija and Ryan Hedges have joined on free transfers from Southampton, Paderborn 07 and Blackburn Rovers. Midfielder Alex Mowatt has linked up with the Club from West Bromwich Albion, while Sammie Szmodics has come in on loan from Ipswich Town for the remainder of the campaign.

John Eustace spoke to Derby County and their press ahead of Cardiff City's visit.
On training this week: "It's been excellent. The lads have been fantastic. The attitude of the boys, as usual, is top drawer and we're really looking forward to the challenge on Saturday."
On City: "They’ve got really good momentum. They didn’t lose many games last year and they’re coached very well. They’ve got a team that has been together now for the past 18 months or so. We know it’s going to be a really tough challenge for us. It’s one we’re really looking forward to."

BBM: "I've watched them really closely over the course of last season and particularly at the beginning of this season so we're fully prepared. We'll be looking to put out our best team on Saturday and be backed by a huge following and give it everything to play well and win."
Calum: “It’s important to take games one at a time and focus on the weekend now. I want to play as many games as I can, but it’s important just to keep a level head and do what I can in the present. For me, it’s just about preparing for Derby County and then in the bigger picture making as many appearances as I can, which is how I want to approach this season."
