Wolverhampton Wanderers host the Bluebirds off the back of three unbeaten matches. Wolves were victorious last time out in a 1-0 win over Watford at Molineux, and they currently sit fourth in the Sky Bet Championship table.
They have tasted defeat only once at home this season, which came in the form of a 3-1 loss to Bolton Wanderers. Wolves have failed to score in just one match this season, a 1-0 defeat to league leaders Middlesbrough.
The side that were relegated from the Premier League last season are managed by Cesar Peixoto, who has been with them since the summer. He has won eight of his 15 fixtures in charge since arriving from Portuguese side Gil Vicente.

Young Spanish midfielder Fer Lopez is Wolves’ top scorer and has the most assists so far this season, having netted five while setting up another three. However, he was an unused substitute against Watford last weekend.
Kieran Trippier and Raul Jimenez are two star names in Peixoto’s side. Trippier has made six appearances since signing from Newcastle United over the summer, while Mexican number nine Jimenez is currently out injured.
Former Bluebirds loanee Tommy Doyle is among the Wanderers’ midfield. He has made only one start this season, but has featured ten times off the bench. Welshman Jordan James has been an integral part of the Wolves side and scored in a 1-1 draw with Portsmouth earlier this month.
Between the sticks, experienced shot-stopper Jose Sa is heavily relied upon. He has started all of Wolves’ matches other than the opening day, keeping three clean sheets.

IN DAYS GONE BY | CRAIG NOONE DOUBLE
In January 2016, City visited Molineux and came away with all three points in a 3-1 victory, with winger Craig Noone at the centre of the action.
The home side had a strong start, but a Stuart O’Keefe effort that rebounded off the crossbar was a warning to Carl Ikeme in the Wolves goal. It wasn’t long after that Noone tried his luck from 30 yards out. His shot dipped into the top left corner to give the Bluebirds the lead.
Noone doubled his tally for the afternoon with another fine finish, this time cutting in off the right wing before curling into the top corner once more. The hosts responded with a goal after David Marshall’s initial save fell to Michal Zyro, who tapped home from close range.
Despite Wolves taking the momentum into half-time, it was Russell Slade’s Bluebirds who made a flying start to the second period. Noone was involved again, rolling his cross into Joe Ralls, who slotted home to restore the two-goal lead. The Bluebirds took all three points on what was an enjoyable afternoon in the West Midlands.
