The Bluebirds knocked Premier League Burnley out of the Carabao Cup, with Brian Barry-Murphy's side booking their place in the Fourth Round on Tuesday evening.
Brian made five changes to the side that began against Bradford City on the weekend while still naming an experienced side to battle the Clarets. Calum Chambers, Joel Colwill, Perry Ng, Isaak Davies and Callum Robinson were welcomed into the starting XI.

Robinson, having scored twice in his last two City appearances, will have felt confident in front of goal and this showed with his effort two minutes in. Robbo struck at goal from 25-yards, though it ended up just off target.
Nathan Trott and his captain, Chambers, were called into action to deny the home side the opening goal with the hosts trying to break down the Bluebirds on the counter. Trott made a good save to keep out Lesley Ugochukwu's shot, while Chambers did brilliantly to block a goal bound strike from Zian Flemming.
Barry-Murphy's men had seen most of the ball in the first half though and they were rewarded with the first goal.
Perry Ng lofted the ball back into the box following a cleared corner kick. Will Fish flicked the ball on and his defensive partner, Chambers, diverted the ball across goal and into the path of Joel Colwill, who hammered home.
Trott was again called into action to keep out Armando Broja's effort after 32 minutes. Missed opportunities in football rarely go unpunished though and it was the City who were celebrating again four minutes later.
The away side had played some lovely football all evening and their second goal showcased that perfectly.
Cian Ashford played the ball into goalscorer Joel Colwill on the edge of the box. He found his brother on the left side of the box and Rubin cut it back for Robinson to hit, who found the net superbly for the third time in three fixtures.

The home side returned after the break in a determined manner and reduced the deficit 11 minutes into the second half. Flemming curled home from just outside the box off his left foot.
It turned into an end-to-end clash following this goal, with the Clarets searching for an equaliser while City looked to regain their two-goal advantage and full control of the encounter. City captain Chambers went for the spectacular from distance just after the hour mark, but his 30-yard piledriver drifted just wide of the target.
Joel Colwill went close to his second of the match with 20 minutes remaining but he diverted Chris Willock's cutback just wide. At the other end though, Trott did well to keep out Broja's low shot immediately afterwards.

The conclusion of the game saw substitute Jaydon Banel go close as the home side looked to force a draw, which would mean a penalty shootout. Another shot came at Trott from a similar angle on the left side with the clock counting down, but City's shot stopper stood strong once again.
The hosts though could not find a way through. City bouncing back from Saturday's defeat in brilliant fashion to secure their spot in the next round of the Carabao Cup.
