The Bluebirds finished their pre-season campaign with a 2-2 draw against Notts County.
Yousef Salech and Callum Robinson hit the net for City.

The Bluebirds dominated the game throughout the opening half, but were held from finding a way through by a determined Magpies side, who defended valiantly.
An opening goal did eventually come though. City had shown the kinds of intricate passing moves that had excited supporters throughout pre-season, but an old school long ball to the centre forward worked wonders with 38 minutes gone. Eli King found Yousef Salech in behind. The striker showed great composure in rounding goalkeeper Kelle Roos, and slotting into the empty net.

County had struggled to create in attack in the opening 45 minutes, but showed their quality after the break. Barry Cotter produced a real moment of magic six minutes into the half, cutting in from the right side and curling into the back of the net from 25-yards to level the score.
As often does in pre-season outings, the changes rang out for both teams and the flow of the game changed. Two further goals followed though late on.
Callum Robinson, who came into the game just after the hour mark, punished some sloppy defensive play with 78 minutes gone. City’s re-established lead though lasted only four minutes with County substitute Alassana Jatta firing home.
It was another important test for both teams with their respective league campaigns beginning in just seven days. Brian Barry-Murphy's attention, and that of every City player, swiftly turns to our league opener against Peterborough United.
