Cardiff City were held by the R's as they continued their pre-season campaign on Wednesday afternoon.
In a stern test for the Bluebirds, goals from Callum Robinson and Rubin Colwill put City ahead before the hosts answered with two of their own in West London.

Looking to get in the lead from the opening moments of play, Robinson did just that with eight minutes on the clock. Solid linkup between the City players in attack resulted in Colwill finding the ball in space, having disposed the R’s deep in their own half.
Unselfishly finding Robbo inside the box, the forward finished well to get City on the scoreboard in good time.
Having set up the first, Rubin doubled the lead for the Bluebirds shortly afterwards with a terrific strike from outside the area.
Again allowed to operate in space at the edge of the box, Colwill took on a shot that planted itself in the back of the net from 20 yards out, with the visitors rightly rewarded for their early attacking intent.
Dominant in possession, City forged another big chance before the half-hour mark, when Colwill’s clipped cross flew in and towards David Turnbull. Heading goalwards, his effort went agonisingly wide of the post, however.
With the hosts looking to find their way back into the run of play, Karamoko Dembélé halved the deficit with ten minutes of the first half remaining.
Running onto a loose ball, the winger’s subsequent shot flew in at the far post, securing that his side was narrowly behind at the break.
Following the interval, City again set out on the front foot, with Ryan Wintle’s goal disallowed for an offside in the build-up.
The Bluebirds found joy down the left-hand side as Rubin, Joel Bagan, and substitute Chris Willock linked up well, repeatedly breaking towards the opposition box and setting up chances in dangerous areas.
Against the run of play, following a period of sustained pressure from the visitors, the R’s found their equaliser.
Daniel Bennie beat the offside trap on the counter before breaking forwards and playing across to Jaylan Pearman, who finished from close range.
While the Bluebirds chased a winner for the remainder, they were ultimately held by the hosts, resulting in a draw earned and good experience gained on the road.
