City vs. Rotherham | Support our local foodbanks

With a terrifying cost of living crisis hitting families and individuals hard, Cardiff City Supporters’ Trust – with support from Cardiff City Football Club – are holding a third foodbank collection to help those in need.

A food donation point has been set up from 12.30pm on Saturday, close to the Trust office (near Gate 5), before our clash with Rotherham United. Food collected will be delivered to the Rhymney Valley Foodbank Centre and the Trust hopes to carry out further collections next year.

Here is a list of food items most urgently needed by the foodbank: canned meat, canned fish, canned vegetables/tomatoes/rice pudding, custard, soup, tea and coffee, jam, pasta sauce and UHT milk. No perishable food, please. Cash donations to the Foodbank can be made on the day.

Love Football. Protect The Game.
Love Football. Protect the Game.

The FA, Premier League and EFL are together introducing new measures and stronger sanctions across the game to tackle the increased anti-social and criminal behaviours recently seen within football grounds and underline the importance of a safe matchday environment.

The new set of actions, which will be implemented across all English football leagues from the start of Season 2022/23 and backed by the Football Supporters’ Association, will target activity such as entering the pitch without permission, carrying or using smoke bombs or pyrotechnics and throwing objects - as well as drug use and discriminatory behaviour.

These acts are dangerous, illegal and have severe consequences. They have no place in football, or anywhere.

Any supporters who experience or witness any anti-social behaviour, directly or indirectly, should contact us by emailing or texting 07554 158224, giving as much detail as possible (including row, seat number and a description of the incident).

Using video evidence and stewarding practices, we will do our utmost to identify anti-social individuals and ensure that they are no longer able to attend Cardiff City fixtures and are reported to the Police. We do not consider them supporters of our Club.

Anti Discrimination
Together Against Discrimination

Football is for everyone. We might support different teams, but football unites and inspires us. It is a game with many opinions. But there is one on which we should all agree.

Racism and discrimination is not welcome in our game. So if you hear it, report it - whether in the street, at Cardiff City Stadium or online.

And when you see players taking the knee ahead of the game as a simple and peaceful act of protest this season, please respect their choice.

Because we are all Together Against Discrimination.
