New Payment Options for 2022/23 enhance My Bluebirds Rewards Loyalty Program

Club News
Enhancing the user experience for supporters who wish to take full advantage of their My Bluebirds Rewards account, for the 2022/23 season supporters will be able to link their own credit or debit card to their rewards account.

By enabling this change, supporters utilising My Bluebirds Rewards will be able to continue to earn loyalty points by spending with affiliates without needing to add funds to a separate pre-paid access card, which was previously the case.

To prepare for these changes, My Bluebirds Rewards will be issuing supporters with a new season card for the upcoming season.

This will operate as a matchday access card only, instead of a combined access & payment card that supporters used during the 21/22 season. A digital version of the season card will also be available to download to the user’s mobile device.

As a result of these changes, the Pingit for Clubs payments service provided by Barclays - which allows fans to make payments using their club membership card - will no longer be available to Cardiff City Season Ticket Holders & Club Members from the 8th August.

Barclays will contact supporters separately to provide further details. Until then, supporters can continue to use their card as normal for payments.

Supporters who currently have funds on their Pingit for Clubs card can still top up their card, spend and earn points with affiliate retailers that include Asda, Sainsbury’s, Primark, B&Q, adidas and Boots until the service closes.

More information related to these changes will be shared in due course. In the meantime, if you have any further queries, please don’t hesitate to contact us via rewards@cardiffcityfc.co.uk.
