Iain Darbyshire
PRE-MATCH | IAIN DARBYSHIRE

Ahead of Sunday's contest, head coach Iain Darbyshire said: “We’re looking forward to the test. We need to be at the top of our game to beat them - they score goals - and our test will be to reduce the number of chances they have whilst creating as many as we can for ourselves.

“I think you’re seeing the result of some hard work in pre-season and into the campaign. The players are really enjoying the freedom they’ve got in those forward positions. The great thing is we’re scoring goals from defenders, midfielders, and attackers as well, which is really pleasing to see.

“There are never easy games in this league. They’ve obviously recently changed their manager as well, so they could be set up quite differently."

Helen Evans
PRE-MATCH | HELEN EVANS

City midfielder Helen Evans added: “We’re in really high spirits and we’re hitting great form at the moment. It’s going to be brilliant coming back to the stadium and seeing all our fans again.

"We’ve been excellent over the last few weeks - everything’s clicking for us, we’re scoring plenty of goals, and the confidence in the squad is really high. We can’t wait to face Barry on Sunday.

"They're always a tough side to play against. They’re physical and bring a lot of quality to the table; we know how good they are. But we're in great form ourselves and full of belief heading into the game.”
