Ahead of Saturday's home clash with Burnley, Cardiff City TV caught up with Bluebirds boss, Brian Barry-Murphy.
"I can't wait." Brian began. "We've recovered really well from Wednesday night's game. We want to try and play a great game on Saturday and win.
"Coming down from the Premier League, they obviously have a squad that is full of players who have been there and done it. But, our focus is purely on our own players.
"For every player that they have, we believe we have a player that is equally as good. It's that potential of our team that makes us so excited moving forward.
"When it comes to Saturday, we'll treat the game in isolation, give our absolute best, be really aggressive and try and win."
City's unbeaten home run in league action currently stands at 11 matches, with Brian keen to keep that record going for as long as possible.
He said: "It's something that we're really proud of. It feels even more special because of the support we get from our fans in our home stadium when it's in such good condition.
"It's something we want to replicate on the pitch and give performances that allow us to create a real energy and aggression in the stadium, to go for every single game.
"Playing against an ex-Premier League team on Saturday will be no different. We'll have a go at the game, try and win and try and show ourselves in the best light."
With the City squad stretched by injury and suspension, and with another quick turnaround between games this week, the boss also spoke of the dedication and hard work his players continue to show.
"The quick turnaround is something we're actually excited by. We get to play in our home stadium again. It will be an outstanding game for us before the international break.
"We've spoken about sticking together and bouncing back. This early part of the season has been really beneficial for us to show the resilience and grit that is evident in this team.
"To show it during the course of a season is very important. As the season progresses and we grow stronger with our team, then that can only benefit us and we know we'll finish the season in a great manner."
