Pre-Match Press - Bolton Wanderers | Nathan Trott

Nathan Trott
Ahead of City's return to the Welsh capital on Saturday afternoon, Nathan Trott spoke to the press at CCS.

Reflecting on Saturday's draw away from home against Peterborough United, the City shotstopper discussed the squad's desire to push on whilst maintaining focus on their own performances.

“I know how good we are and how good we’ve been all season," Nathan began. "So to leave with a point was a bit frustrating but at the end of the day going away and getting a point is not the worst situation ever.

"I think we can push on from there and continue to play how we have, taking our chances.

“It’s a credit to us and how good we’ve been this season that the last few results haven’t been the best but ultimately, we’re still in a very strong position to get promoted.

“For our standards we could have been a little bit more critical of ourselves, but overall I think that the way this season has been it’s been really positive.

“The main thing is to keep the focus on ourselves. That’s what we’ve been doing since the first week of the season, so why change now?”

With Bolton Wanderers arriving in South Wales in fourth place on the League One table, Nathan sees the fixture as an opportunity to bounce back in the best way possible with a busy run-in towards the end of the season now approaching.

“It’s one of those six-point games where they’re behind us," said Trott. "I think to win at home would be really special for the fans and at this stage of the season would be a really big win.

"That’s what we’re fully focussed on right now. I think that the fans are always going to show their emotions a lot more than the players.

"Over the course of the season there have been so many ups and downs but ultimately when you look at the position we’re in and how we’re playing when you watch the full games, everyone should feel really positive about the way we’re going, and with one win the mood changes again.

“It’s been positive for me since I’ve come in. It’s been a fun team to play with and be a part of, so I just want to continue that, complete the mission and get this Club where it belongs.”
